Description and purpose of change:
In aims to improve interoperability with third-party sources, Première S will receive hardware and software changes to increase analog input sensitivity and add output headroom.
Hardware changes:
- Increase analog input sensitivity
Before change: 4V (+14dBu) equates to full-scale outputAfter change: 2V (+8dBu) equates to full-scale output
Increase full-scale output by +7dB (applicable to all inputs)
Software changes:
Adjust limiter to account for the increased output capabilities
The above changes will be implemented in all Première S speakers immediately.
Stock items will be updated accordingly. Shipping of said items may be delayed by several days.
Première S speakers which were already shipped to customers may be modified on request.
Any test-kit products shipped after the effective PCN date will have the aforementioned changes in place.
